What the treatment involves
Toothache does not wait for a convenient week, so neither do we. Every weekday morning we hold back emergency slots for people in pain — registered with us or not. Ring before 9:30 and we can almost always see you the same day.
An emergency appointment is twenty minutes. We find out what is wrong, take an X-ray if it is needed, and deal with the pain first: a dressing, a temporary filling, draining an abscess, smoothing a broken edge that is cutting your tongue. The aim is that you leave comfortable.
Then we tell you what the permanent fix is and what it costs, in writing. You are under no pressure to book it with us.
The appointment costs £85, and that £85 comes off any treatment that follows. It is free for Northlight Plan members.
Outside opening hours, the emergency line connects you to one of our own dentists, not a call centre. If it can wait until morning, they will tell you how to get through the night and book you in first thing.

Common questions
Do I need to be registered to get an emergency appointment?
No. Anyone in pain can book an emergency slot. If you then join the Northlight Plan, the £85 is refunded.
What if it happens at the weekend?
Call the emergency line. One of our own dentists calls back, tells you how to manage it overnight, and books you in first thing on the next open day if you need to be seen.
